Our priorities
This strategy is based on several priorities designed to facilitate the integration of Francophone women and meet their specific needs:
1.
Development of tailored programs
Targeted welcoming and integration services for Francophone immigrant women.
2.
Building community capacity
Support local Francophone and community organizations working to integrate women and offer support services adapted to the realities of newly arrived women.
3.
Fighting against discrimination and violence
Ensure that Francophone women have access to resources for prevention and support in the face of gender-based violence, racial discrimination and other forms of marginalization.
4.
Partnerships with key players
Collaborate with provincial governments, businesses and community organizations to foster inclusive work environments and career opportunities for Francophone women.
Why a Canada-Wide Strategy?
The challenges and opportunities related to the immigration of Francophone women are diverse across the country. A Canada-wide approach makes it possible to adapt solutions to the specific characteristics of different regions, while ensuring that Francophone women have the same opportunities for success, regardless of where they live.
